The Assam Cabinet has taken a significant step towards promoting renewable energy by approving the Assam Integrated Clean Energy Policy, 2025. This policy aims to make the state a leading investment destination in the renewable energy sector by encouraging solar, wind, mini, and small hydro projects, pumped storage projects, battery energy storage systems, green hydrogen, biofuel, and electric vehicle systems. By introducing various incentives, the policy is expected to attract businesses and industries to set up clean energy projects in Assam, strengthening the state’s contribution to India’s renewable energy goals.
